At Brook House in Cambridgeshire, we introduced a new dimension of light and space to a private residence. Central to this transformation was a 1000kg structural glass Ridgelight, a feat of engineering that marries aesthetic purity with structural integrity.
Finely tuned framework
The minimalistic design of the Ridgelight complements the existing architectural language of Brook House, enhancing the spatial dynamics without overpowering the original structure. The precision-engineered glass panels are supported by a finely tuned framework that is as much a part of the design as the glass itself, ensuring that the installation is both functional and visually striking.
Seamless extension of the living space
The Ridgelight, composed of two expansive glass panels each measuring 3.2m x 2.8m and weighing 505kg, presented unique challenges, requiring meticulous planning and precision at every stage of the project.
